Future Target Diseases
The four programs below represent the neurodegenerative arm of the platform. In each case the scientific literature clearly establishes that inflammasome overactivation is pathogenic in the disease, and K9's ability to cross the blood-brain barrier positions it as the mechanistically rational candidate. None of these diseases currently have an approved therapy that modifies disease progression.
